Sanitary Sewer Maintenance

Project Location: Sanitary sewers in street right-of-way, side and/or back lot easements.

The following work will be performed: Survey Cleaning and television inspection of sanitary sewer lines.

This door hanger serves as notice that cleaning and televising of the sanitary sewer line located on or adjacent to your property is expected to begin within 24 hours. Work will be conducted between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

The resident is not required to be home, and at no time will field crews have to enter inside your home or business. Field crews may require access to your property if a sewer manhole or similar structure is located in an easement on or adjacent to your property.

We ask that ALL residents who receive this letter do the following during the days listed below:

1) Restrain all pets.
2) Verify gates are unlocked.
3) Remove structures such as flower pots, sheds, decks, bird baths, debris, etc., from the top of any sanitary sewer manholes on your property.
4) Minimize water usage.
5) Close toilet lids.
6) Unscrew your sanitary sewer service lateral clean-out cap. (This is located in your yard between the house and the sewer main, and it is usually a 4 in. threaded PVC plastic cap.) This will help prevent sewer smells from entering your house and/or the possibility of a sewer back-up into the house or building.
