Sweeping Corp of America will be conducting manhole Inspection, cleaning and televising and smoke testing of the underground sanitary sewer system pipelines as part of the Sanitary Sewer Project.
Lines that go from your house to the main lines are NOT included in this work. This work does not require residents to be home, and at no time will field crews have to enter your home or business.
Receiving a door hanger serves as notice that we will be smoke testing the sanitary sewer line located on or adjacent to your property is expected to begin within 72 hours. Field crews may require access to your property if a sewer manhole or similar structure is in an easement on or adjacent to your property. Your cooperation in providing access is critical to the sanitary sewer cleaning and televising process and is much appreciated. In that regard, we request that you please restrain or relocate outside pets and unlock gates during this period, as applicable.
We request that ALL residents who receive this letter do the following during the days listed below:
- Unscrew your sanitary sewer service lateral clean out cap (this is in your yard between the house and the sewer main, and it is usually a 4" threaded PVC plastic cap). This will help prevent sewer smells from entering your house and/or the possibility of a sewer back up into the house or building.
- Close toilet lids.
- Restrain all outside pets.
- Verify gates are unlocked.
- Remove structures such as flowerpots, sheds, decks, birdbaths, debris, etc. from on top of any sanitary sewer manhole on your property.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact one of the representatives listed below.
We expect crews to be cleaning and televising the sanitary sewer line on or adjacent to your property between 01/5/2026 through 1/23/2026.
